PHANTASMAGORIC IMAGE PRESENTS A MAGIC LANTERN OF IMAGERY: THE ENIGMATIC COLLAGE WORKS OF BRIEN COLEMAN. THESE MYSTICAL AND SURREAL WORKS OFFER AN INTRICATE AND FASCINATING WINDOW INTO A FLAMBOYANT PARALLEL UNIVERSE WHERE PICTORIAL LANDSCAPES EMERGE AS IF FROM A WAKING DREAM, THE PARANORMAL AND SUPERNAL SEEM COMMONPLACE, AND PSYCHIC TOPOGRAPHIES LINGER IN THE MEMORY.

This site is conceived as a showcase for the collage works produced over the past twenty or so years. It will continue to evolve and feature submissions from other visual artists and poets who deal in the phantasmagoric and surreal. It is hoped that this will lead to an alternative gallery of new projects and forms of self expression, illumination, and creative collaborations.  

		Brien Coleman originated in Miami, has lived many years in New York City, then moved to Taos, New Mexico for a while until settling in Oaxaca in Mexico itself. Brien was part of the "Psychonautic Landscape" exhibition at the ABC Treehouse Gallery in Amsterdam in April, 2005. Since then he has shown in Santa Fe, NM and most recently at ArtServe in August 2007 in Fort Lauderdale, FL where he is temporarily residing.
